About the Team

The Philippines Women's National Lacrosse Team, managed by the Philippines Lacrosse Association, made a remarkable debut on the international stage in 2025 under the leadership of playing head coach Steph Lazo—who stepped into the role in February 2024 World Lacrosse. 

Historic Breakthrough: Asia‑Pacific Championship 2025

At their inaugural appearance in the 2025 Asia‑Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship in Queensland, Australia, the team captured history by securing the bronze medal, defeating Chinese Taipei 18‑6. This landmark result marked not only the team's first-ever international senior medal but also the first for any Filipino field lacrosse program

 Notably, Steph Lazo spearheaded the offense with five goals in the bronze medal match, complemented by multi-goal performances from several teammates.

Reflecting on the journey, Coach Lazo shared:

"This is just the beginning. We truly believe in the process, we believe in each other, and this is just the start of the future for Philippine women's lacrosse." 

Road to the World Stage: Qualification for 2026 World Championship

Thanks to their top‑three finish in the Asia‑Pacific Championship, the team qualified for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Japan—marking the program's first-ever World Championship berth
